Every year, between October and March, we participate in the East Yorkshire Cross Country League (EYXC).

It is jointly organised by: Beverley AC, Bridlington RR, City of Hull AC, Driffield Striders, East Hull Harriers, Goole Viking Striders, Pickering RC, Pocklington RR, Scarborough AC, Selby Striders and Yorkshire WR.

The distance of the races ranges from 5.5 to 7 miles.

Start Times

All six races start at 10:00am, apart from Ravenscar which starts at 10:30am.

Each race has a cut-off time based on 15 minute miles.

Don’t miss out on our pre-race group photo! Look out for the GVS flag, which will normally be located near the race start/finish area.

League entry is £16 per participant for the 24/25 season. This pays for all six races and includes: chip timing, presentation and buffet.

Your race number will be available for collection from the village hall in Bishop Wilton on the morning of the first race. The same race number is to be used for all races of the season (so please don’t throw it away!). If you cannot make the first race at Bishop Wilton, your number will be available for collection at any of the other league races.

League Rules

Official club tops must be worn as the outer garment and race numbers must be displayed clearly on the front of your club top.

Please read the League Rules for more information and a detailed list of dos and don’ts! Please be aware that failure to comply with the rules could result in disqualification.
